Welcome to the Italian food and drink exhibition, which will take place from 13 to 15 February 2026 at the Mediterranean Exhibition Centre (MEC) in Peania, Attica, Attica. To facilitate your visit, we have compiled all the necessary information regarding your travel and accommodation.
The MEC is located at 301 Lavrio Avenue, in Peania, Attica.
FREE TRANSPORT
Visitors and exhibitors by the Exhibition’s bus from the Metro and Suburban Station ”Doukissis Plakentias” to the MEC Exhibition Center and vice versa, daily every HALF an hour, and from the “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport to the MEC Exhibition Center and vice versa, daily every ONE hour.

* The shuttle buses will be specially marked “MEC – ITAFOODEXHIBITION 2026”. Departure from the airport ”Eleftherios Venizelos” will take place outside the Sofitel Hotel. Departure from the Station ”Dukissis Plakentias” will be from the Bus Departure. Using the Metro you will exit at the exit ”Parking Metro/Bus Station”.
Athens International Airport (ATH), commonly known as Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, is the main airport serving Athens and the surrounding area of Attica. The airport is located approximately 6 km (6 mi) from the Exhibition Centre and approximately 20 km (12 mi) from the city centre of Athens. It is the largest airport in Greece, serving millions of passengers annually. The airport is well connected to the city by metro, suburban railway, bus and taxi services.

For entry into Greece, passport and visa requirements vary depending on the nationality of the traveller:
Citizens of the European Union (EU) and the Schengen Area: Citizens of EU countries, as well as Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein and Norway, may enter Greece with a valid passport or photo ID card. No visa is required for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Third country nationals: Non-EU and non-Schengen nationals must have a valid passport and, depending on the country of origin, may require an entry visa (visa). The validity of the passport must extend for at least 3 months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen area. In addition, the passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years and contain at least two blank pages.

Visa requirements: Citizens of certain countries may enter Greece without a visa for a short stay of up to 90 days. For other nationalities, a visa is required prior to travel. Additional requirements:
Return or continuation ticket: The authorities may require proof that the traveller will depart from Greece before the end of the permitted period of stay.
Proof of sufficient financial resources: Evidence may be required to show that the traveller has sufficient financial means for the duration of his/her stay.
Travel medical insurance: It is recommended to have insurance covering emergency medical care, hospitalisation and repatriation, with a minimum cover of EUR 30 000.

The MEC (Metropolitan Expo Center) is strategically located just 1.5 km from Exit 17 – KANZA of Attiki Odos. It is directly and easily accessible by road from all major highways of Attica, such as:

E-mobility: Charging stations
MEC has a charging station for e-mobility cars. These are managed by MEC S.A. Pay for charging via direct payment by credit card… Payment procedures are explained at the charging station. The charging station is clearly visible in the P1 car parks. There are two sockets (type 2 mode 3) and parking spaces available. The battery is recharged within a few hours.

From Dukissis Plakentias Station you will take the Exhibition shuttle bus to get to the MEC.
